Accounting Technology Programs in Pennsylvania

Educational Information:

Accounting technology students will be provided with the necessary training to work as a bookkeeper, tax preparer, accounting, auditor, accounts payable clerk, accounts receivable clerk and more. Working through the course provides the students with knowledge of how to work in the financial and business sectors.

Licensing Information:

For those who wish to become a CPA in the state, you must first meet the following requirements:

  • Completion of a bachelor degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Completion of 150 hours in post-secondary education
  • Completion of 24 hours in auditing, accounting, business law, tax and finance
  • Completion of 12 additional hours in the auditing, accounting and tax areas
  • Have a minimum of one year experience in the field with 1,600 hours of direct supervision from someone who already has their CPA license
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Be of sound moral character

Employment Information:
