To get your license in Alaska, you need to meet one of the following requirements:

  • Successful completion of a bachelor degree with an accounting concentration containing 24 hours of accounting, three hours of business law, three hours in college math, computer science or statistics and three hours in economics
  • Bachelor degree with an accounting concentration and the completion of 15 hours in accounting
  • Within 18 hours for the completion of a bachelor degree and 15 hours of accounting
  • Bachelor degree with a completion of less than 15 hours focused on accounting and a minimum of one year experience in the accounting sector with direct supervision of a licensed CPA
